how to build a boat

17 year old Charlie washes up on the beach of small Remote Island following a storm. The next morning he wakes up in a house owned by an old couple who run a lighthouse. They inform him that his boat was destroyed in the storm and therefore he has no way home. The old man offers to help Charlie get back to where he came from, but it will involve them finishing a boat that has remained unfinished for decades. Charlie observes the old couple over the next couple of days and begins to form a bond with the old man, while slowly unravelling the tragic truth that has been driving the old couple apart.
